Flagging Tails Farm

About Us
We’re the Martinez Family, and our little farm adventure began in 2014 when we traded suburban life for a little more dirt, a lot more space, and the country lifestyle we wanted for raising our boys in unincorporated Brentwood, California.
What started as Lolo’s Hobby Farm has grown—quite literally—one animal at a time.
Over the years, our nine acres have been home to an ever-changing cast of four-legged and feathered characters. Today, you’ll find goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, a donkey, and plenty of personalities roaming around Flagging Tails Farm. Around here, there’s usually someone baa-ing, braying, quacking, gobbling, crowing—or trying to convince us they haven't already been fed.
🐐All Started With the Goats
Goats have always held a special place at Flagging Tails Farm.
We raise ADGA Nigerian Dwarf goats for sanctioned shows and 4-H projects, as well as non-registered Nigerian Dwarfs that make wonderful dairy goats, hobby-farm companions, and much-loved family pets.
Of course, raising goats also means kidding season—and there's nothing quite like watching those tiny hooves and enormous personalities arrive on the farm!
🌾 More Than Just a Farm
Over time, we realized that some of the best parts of farm life are the experiences that can be shared with others.
Today, Flagging Tails Farm offers opportunities to get out of the city, get a little dirt on your boots, and experience farm life firsthand. Depending on the season, visitors can meet the farm crew, walk with goats, gather eggs, cuddle baby goats, try goat yoga, or experience what it's like to be a farmer for a day.
We also offer Educational Vet Tech Field Labs designed around applicable AVMA CVTEA Essential Skills, giving veterinary technology students an opportunity to take learning outside of the classroom and gain hands-on experience in a real farm environment.
🥚 From Our Farm to You
Farm life also gives us the opportunity to share a few of the things produced right here at Flagging Tails Farm, including:
🐓 Farm-fresh eggs
🥛 Raw goat milk
🐐 Goat milk lotions
🌾 Seasonal farm experiences
❤️ Why “Flagging Tails”?
A flagging tail is a happy, excited tail—and around here, we see a lot of them.
The name captures what we love most about this place: happy animals, muddy boots, fresh air, hard work, laughter, and the occasional bit of farmyard chaos.
Flagging Tails Farm may have started as Lolo’s hobby, but somewhere along the way it became something much bigger—a place for our family to grow, animals to thrive, students to learn, and others to experience a little piece of the farm life we love.
Welcome to Flagging Tails Farm.
